Career Opportunities

From the Desk of Jasmine Pina, aka Mashup Mama-

If you’ve already read my Bio, you’ve found that I’m a woman that wears many hats. I’m a wife, mother, fitness instructor, designer, most importantly, I’m an entrepreneur. Flat out- one of my biggest goals is to create financial freedom for my family. I’m gonna be thirty this summer and I don’t want to be stuck in a situation fifteen years from now when I’m 45 and  I have to triple out the mortgage on my home just to put my kids through college. I’m guessing a huge portion of Americans would agree with me. What kind of fun would that be? It’s bad enough that I just started paying off my student loans and I graduated in 2001! I hate owing money, absolutely hate it! Which is why I chose to jump on the plan”b” band wagon about three years ago.

Let me tell you how it happened. While living in Colorado my husband showed up to work one day to find padlocks on the front door with a handwritten sign saying “out of business”. He was the store manager and had no idea! Chances are you can relate or know someone who can. No two ways about it, it sucks! Although looking back on it now, it was a blessing in disguise. The lord truly works in a magical way. So at that point,we both decided that pigs were gonna have to fly before we went to work for someone else ever again. Sure we’ve had little odd jobs here and there but nothing that we relied on to be our main source of income. From then on, the money that truly paid the bills was money we produced from companies we created with our bare hands.

I started flipping real estate until that went down the toilet when 100% financing was a thing of the past, but  in turn, my husband created a property management company out of all the apartment complexes I sold. Property management has been a totally bittersweet experience because there’s always someone who needs to rent an apartment, which means there’s always money for us, but on the flip-side, chasing tenants down for rent is a nightmare! So, it had been a couple of months since the loan market crashed and I just couldn’t get any more deals closed when a good friend of mine introduced to me a business opportunity that has since changed my life.

You see, I can tell you till I’m blue in the face that this opportunity is like none other but I don’t need to. The opportunity speaks for itself. To be blatent, if you can’t take the time to watch the video, and cannot  see what I can see then we shouldn’t be working together. Marketing a commodity is a no-brainer,  it’s something that will pay both you and me for life. When I saw it, I saw it once and that’s all it took. These are the kind of people I’m looking for. The people who get ahead in life are the ones who take chances not knowing what the outcome is going to be. Because when it comes down to it, (remember this is my opinion), no one but my man upstairs knows what the outcome of anything will be. You either take the bull by the horns or pray he doesn’t smoosh you. Hey, and if you take the bull by the horns and he still ends up beatin’ the crap out of you, well then atleast you can say you fought a bull, and you’ll be tougher for it.

Unfortunately we were raised to believe to go to school, get an education (that we might have to spend the rest of our lives paying off), get a good job with benefits and pretty much hope and pray that by the time we’ve been in the workforce for 20-40 years, that our social security money and retirement funds will be enough to sustain us. In today’s age, this scenario doesn’t look so hot. The government and economy’s a mess, there’s no denying it. So it’s up to us to change it if we so choose and I for one so choose. I’m not saying entrepreneurship is easy, it’s work, nobody ever got anything for free.  But I can honestly say, the last three years that I have been pouring out my heart and soul into creating my career of choice instead of finding one, have been the most rewarding three years of my life. It’s been awesome!

I do what I want when I want to, I answer to god, my hubby and my little nuggets. I’m able to meet them for lunch, pick them up from school and so forth. It’s been really cool to experience a bunch of different things in the past three, (hence the whole crazy “mashup mama” title of this blog), that may not have been possible had I been working a nine to five job. Like I said at the beginning of this article, I’m a professional multiple hat wearer. In addition to everything else, I’m a network marketer with an amazing company and I’m now a web designer/internet marketer… still totally virgin but I will get there! The point is, I never thought in a million years I would have done any of those things. It’s when I decided to think outside of the box and demand more for my life that it all started just falling into my lap. In that time I have met some really amazing people who have beat all odds and created a masterpeice of their life. Their stories have been such an inspiration to me. I recently met a man who was bankrupt, a convicted felon, could not see his child and was living with his parents. In two years he went from having NOTHING to making $60,000 a month. A MONTH! No not ilegally either I might add, he became a network marketer with the company you can take a look at here. The nice thing about network marketing is it doesn’t discriminate. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist or even a high school grad for that matter to become a millionaire.

So my guess is,  I’m just as human as you reading this right now and chances are if I were to ask you if you were motivated by money, you’d probably answer yes. Cut the bs, you would answer yes. Why? because you and I both know money is the biggest tool we can use in this world to get what we want. Wether that be financial freedom for our families, or getting ourselves out of debt or achieving our dreams. While this time here on earth is limited we all want to be able to enjoy it, and with more money it makes it so. So let me ask you a question…. how secure is your job right now? Do you have a plan “b”?
