DJ on a bike

Spinning is an amazing workout that produces results in a very short period of time. I became a certified Spinning Instructor over a year ago and I love it. It’s crazy, I’ve always loved really high intesity workouts, if I’m not completely wet from sweat I feel as if I’m not getting a good workout, so I’ve always been drawn to this particular type of workout. I started taking classes myself and thought, “I could do that, I could teach”! So I did, and I have enjoyed every minutes of it, with the exception of the small stint I had with 5am classes. I still don’t understand that, how can people get up when it’s still dark to workout? Thanks but no thanks, god bless the ones that do though. I totally respect their dedication to fit a workout in even if the rooster has not gotten up himself. Going to teach my classes is my biggest release. I let it all go when I’m on my bike. Nothing exists but me, the beat and the bike. I always say a little prayer to myself before and after my classes for the strength and wind to teach another one, I pray for everyone in my class that they be blessed with the same detoxifying release of anything that might weighing them down. But my most important prayer is that I can in some small way, help them get closer to achieving their fitness goals by taking my class. I pride myself on my carefully constructed playlists, thus a DJ on my bike. Inside the walls of my class you’ll find from the deepest, dirtiest house music to the eighties music I grew up listening to on my parents vinyl. I LOVE it!!!! I j get some sick twisted high when I’m on my bike and I see people in my class dripping sweat and shaking their hips to the beat of the music, howling with bittersweet delight. I t has been a really rewarding hobby that I just so happen to get paid for.
After I had been teaching for only a couple of months, there was this girl I would see on a regular basis on the gym. She would always be working her tail off. Stepper to eliptical to treadmil until she was dripping wet. Yes, I saw that she was making progress but I always saw her doing those three same things. A little nervouse to talk to her one time, I decided to approach her and asked what else she was doing in her workouts and she explained she kept to pretty much the same thing. I suggested she try taking one of my classes… and so she did. I told her, “stick with me for four weeks and I promise you’ll see results”. About five weeks later after one of my classes was over, she came up to me and said, ” I just wanted to let you know that since I have been taking your class, I have lost four inches from each thigh, thank you so much”. We both started to tear up a bit and my heart just melted. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would experience that feeling, that indescribable feeling when you change someone’s life like that. It was intense and I will never ever forget that blessed moment. I’m so proud of her for stepping outside of her comfort zone and trying something new. Yes, spinning can be very intense and difficult but the beauty of these classes is that you control your own bike. You control your own resistance and it’s all at your own pace. If it is your first time in the gym in five years then I would not suggest hoping on a bike for the first time. #1 Because while I’m also certified in CPR, I’d rather not have to use it and #2 Each class is about fourty five minutes long… so work your way up to being able to handle some form of cardio for 25- 30 minutes then I’ll see you in class and give you the ride of your life.

I can attest to Jasmine’s innate ability to get my ass a rockin’ on a bike. Definitly intense and requires dedication (how else will your neither parts get accustomed to the stress of balancing on seat the size of a hairbrush)!! Love your class, your song selections (especially the 80’s) and you too, my friend!!

Amazing! Not clear for me, how offen you updating your mashupmama.com.
Thanks
As much as I can… I’d like to update everyday but for example I was super busy and this is the first I’m sitting down behind my computer and it’s 10pm… I’m still trying to set everything up, I’m pretty much teaching myself along the way with some help of a friend. Thanks for commenting though, I appreciate the support:)
